An excellent entry into the horror space, Late Night with the Devil is one I hope gets referenced by future filmmakers for a long time to come.
Exactly as “meh” as the first in terms of storytelling with an extra dash of “frustrating” at times, Dune: Part 2 is something you likely already know you either love or hate.
An incredible examination of being who you want when you want to be it, Poor Things is an experience that some will find difficult, but all should see.
Like a soft candy with a frighteningly hard middle, Wonka is more likely to break your teeth than your heart.
You’ll love to hate it, Emerald Fennell’s Saltburn will make you wish it ended sooner… and that you had twice as much to watch.
Excellent visual presentation mixed with some smart and savvy characters make Blue Eye Samurai much stronger than its weakest moments.
Fine enough if you’re already in love with the titular monster… but not much to offer otherwise.
A great satire and an even better debut film, They Cloned Tyrone is an easy recommendation for your watchlist.

Though there were some blunders, the 2023 Oscars were mostly pretty great.
Weird mistakes, things left out, and bad humor didn’t kill the show, but they were noticeable.
