Love Death + Robots: Season 2

  • 5.8

Hitting just higher than the lows of the first volume with only a single episode reaching anywhere near the highs, the second installation of Love Death and Robots is mostly a dud. Most of the episodes aren't fun, they aren't intriguing, and they are only vaguely visually interesting. We've been given 8 episodes instead of 18 and only 1 of those episodes felt like a complete story with the rest hanging somewhere between "concept" and "class assignment".

If you watched and loved the first volume, the hour and a half or so this will take out of your day isn't worth it, but won't really upset you either.

If you haven't watched the first volume, do it. There are some really exceptional episodes and the rest are mostly at least fun. Then, come to this one and watch "The Tall Grass" (which needs a better ending), "Pop Squad"/ "Snow In The Desert" (for visual intrigue), or just skip all the riffraff and go straight to "All Through the House" for the best episode of the season.

Mostly this wasn't BAD it just wasn't GOOD. Pretty boring/ 10
